That’s a good question as sustainability means different things to different people. We asked a few colleagues to tell us what sustainability meant without using a search engine. Unsurprisingly we received a wide range of responses.
We have tried to summarise all the definitions we received into one simple sentence to help guide our sustainability journey. Our shared understanding of sustainability is “meeting the needs of our customers and staff without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs”. We feel that this links to a key part of our company’s mission statement. “We are committed to our customers, employees, and future generations”.
