What is 'Pull Away' and how can it be avoided?

‘Pull Away’ is what appears to be air bubbles around the sides of filled candles. All candles are subject to this because wax expands and contracts with changes in temperature.

The ‘bubbles’ are purely aesthetic and are unavoidable due to the nature of the wax. Pull away does not affect the burn performance of the candle and the severity depends on the type of wax used. Harder waxes can contract so much that the candle falls out of the glass!

Pull away occurs when candles are kept in a cold environment so restoring the candle back to a warm environment and/or lighting it will remove all pull away and give you back your perfect looking candle.
